‘Even the weather was good for Tease’

25/09/2017 @ 05:42

The weather was perfect as more than 200 people showed their support for a charity walk held in memory of Teresa Thomas, who sadly passed away earlier this year from a heart attack.

Organised by her husband Dylan, in coordination with Hope House who care for the couple’s daughter Kiera, the walk will raise vital funds for the charity.

“We had a lovely day and even the weather was perfect,” said Dylan. “We had around 215 people turn up along with plenty of dogs.

“We were pleased that the Heulwen Trust generously allowed some children to go on the canal boat trip including my daughter Kiera whilst the walkers were doing the canal walk. Teresa's mother, family and friends had a cake stall to help raise more much needed funds for Hope House Children’s Hospice.”

Although it will be some weeks before the final amount is known, for sure Teresa would be proud.

“Last year was a great success of which Teresa was rightly proud,” added Dylan. “This year in naming it in her memory and having so many friends and family and also a great number of people who had been touched by her story, but didn't know her, made us feel quite humbled.

“On behalf of Teresa’s family, I would like to thank every single person who was involved with Walking for Tease. From walkers, sponsors, marshals, first aiders to the staff of Hope House who made this a day that we will never forget. It was a fitting tribute to my wonderful wife and hopefully we will see you again next year.
