Fancy building a rocket?

School children are being offered the chance to build a rocket with a Montgomery based training company.

As part of Futureproofing engineering in Powys, Myrick Training Services and the Mid Wales Manufacturing Group have organised a free “Rocket Building Day” on Friday, January 5th at Montgomery that can engage school pupils into engineering who are aged 12 and above.

Youngsters can go along to design, construct, and launch the rocket on the but be warned as these rockets are seriously rapid. The clever part is that the rockets are built to glide back to earth by parachute - and all this is constructed by the youngsters on the day.
