Local glamour girl Jamie-Lee Williams is off to Chicago after winning the Miss Galaxy Wales beauty contest.

 

The 24 year-old won the title in Chester after overcoming a host of beauties from across the country to book her summer ticket to the USA in a bid to win the global prize.

 

Competitors were judged in four different rounds – interview, eveningwear, fashion wear and swimwear – with the Llanymynech model coming out on top in three of the four categories.

 

And a delighted Jamie-Lee was thrilled to win and is looking forward to an action packed spring and summer.

 

“I am thrilled to bits to have won and thoroughly enjoyed the day,” she said: “The competition was very tough because there were some lovely girls who entered. I am looking forward now to representing Wales in the Miss Galaxy International.”
