Ellie gets her ‘wings’

A Welshpool Air Cadet has been recognised for her skills following a weekend visit to RAF Cosford.

A number of cadets from 2364 Welshpool Sqn flew from RAF Cosford, but Cdt Ellie Phillips, was awarded her ‘A Wings’ which recognises her achievement in flying the RAF’s Grob Tutor used for RAF Elementary Flying Training. 

Ellie had to complete four parts of the award which are:

1. Cadet Aviation Familiarisation Course (FAM)

2. Ground school

3. Part Task Trainer (PTT)

4. Airborne sortie(s) at an Air Experience Flight (AEF) for ‘A Wings’.
