A digital photography workshop to help you to get the best out of your camera will be held next month, with bookings being taken now.
Local photographer Peter Coleby LRPS is running another of his successful workshops in Welshpool for newcomers to digital photography.
The four-hour workshop is structured to help get to grips with the basics of digital photography and learn how to make the best use of a digital SLR camera.

The session will mix class room learning and demonstration with a move outdoors into the beautiful Powis Castle Park to practice the new found skills.
“Jargon will be kept to a minimum and the focus will be on taking better photographs in a practical and fun environment,” said Peter.
What will be taught?
• Basic camera handling
• Rules of composition
• About exposure – ISO, aperture and shutter speed
• Depth of field and how to freeze/blur motion
• Lighting your shots
Equipment needed:
• A digital SLR camera with a lens or bridge/mirrorless camera capable of manual mode.
• Suitable outdoor clothing
