Canal Triathlon announced
The Montgomery Canal Triathlon 2019 is a great day out for families with children as well as experienced triathletes.
The route involves cycling, walking and canoeing along the 35 miles of the Montgomery Canal, from Newtown to Lower Frankton, near Oswestry.
The event is organised by the Friends of the Montgomery Canal and is supported by the Canal and River Trust in aid of the restoration of the canal.
A fun non-competitive event, you can enter one, two or all three sections. Group entries are especially welcome.
There is a charge depending how many sections are entered, varying from £5 for a junior entering one section to £25 for an adult entering all three sections.
Canoes and equipment may be hired for a small fee but there is a very limited number available. It event starts at Severn Way, Newtown between 8.30-9am and ends in the afternoon at the Western Arm, Lower Frankton.
