Carnival Queen search begins

The search is on to find the 2019 Llanfair Caereinion Carnival Queen as the committee steps up its preparations for a big event next month.

Following a successful Easter Bunny visit and hunt in Deri Woods, the Carnival has announced that anyone interested in being crowned Carnival Queen 2019 should contact the organisers ahead of the closing date of May 17.

The Carnival Queen will preside over the Carnival which takes place on June 15. She will be accompanied by eight young attendants from local schools and will travel to the carnival on the Welshpool and Llanfair Light Railway.

“We are really looking forward to announcing the Carnival Queen in May,” said Nicola Peate, Chair of the Carnival Committee.
