One-way to be finished by July 29
But hopes of being complete before the summer holidays have been dashed, however, the latest update from those involved says it will be all systems go by the end of the month.
The latest updates include:
· Works being accelerated for the next three weeks to see a completion of all the alterations by July 29
· The current system of traffic will remain (possibly) until July 29
· Works to the Bron Y Buckley entrance kerb lines finish today
· Works on the traffic island alterations by the NFU (Old Spar) will commence today
· Broad Street becomes single lane for traffic today
· All Brook Street/Union Street works will be completed before July 29 including the traffic lights by the library
· The programme for the new zebra crossing by the Town Hall has yet to be confirmed
· Jehu Road alterations are ahead of schedule and should be re-opened before July 29
· General working times are 7.30am to 5pm weekdays
