Community DIY workshop planned

Volunteers are wanted that can help fellow residents carry out a range of jobs for themselves by sharing their expertise at a Community Repair Workshop.

Organised by Welshpool Town Council, it is proposed that the first event be held in October, and then every four months at the old gym building on Smithfield Road.

“We are looking for volunteer experts to carry out these workshops,” said a Town Council spokesperson. “Experts can pass on their fixing skills to people who want to learn how to be more practical.”

The main workshops being planned cover woodwork, sewing and upholstery, bike repairs, computers and electronics, kitchen gadgets and toys.
