Welshpool Music Club will be hosting a performance on Thursday, January 23 by Emma Abbate and Julian Perkins entitled ‘piano for four hands’.
Emma is a professor at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama while Julian directs Sounds Baroque and has a growing reputation as a keyboard player and conductor of considerable talent and versatility.
They have performed piano duet recitals at prestigious venues including the Royal Opera House and London’s Southbank Centre. Their first volume of Mozart’s complete piano duets, released for Resonus Classics, was described in Early Music Reviews as “Exemplary”.
The concert will take place at The Methodist Church at 7.30pm. Members of the Club have free admittance, but all are welcome with entry ticket of £10 (£2 for students). Tea and coffee are available after the performance when there is an opportunity to meet the performers.
