Join John's Spinathon
Cancer survivor John Evans is holding his annual Spinathon fundraiser in aid of the Lingen Davies Fund on March 1st.
“The event is a bid to give something back for the escellent treatment I received at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital and Welshpool Medical Centre,” said John.
“People will have many reasons for contributing to such fund raising events. Some will have lost loved ones, friends or relatives to cancer. Many just want to join the fight to find a cure for this dreadful disease.
“Some, like me, thought that cancer was something that happened to someone else but the sad truth is it affects almost all of us in one way or another.
“I was diagnosed with cancer of the oesophagus in July 2010 and luckily made a full recovery which I attribute to early diagnosis by Dr Ryan at Welshpool Health Centre and the brilliant treatment I received at the RSH..
