Beethoven meets Welshpool on Thursday

The latest top class musicians to be brought to Welshpool by the town’s music club will perform on Thursday night.

The town will host the second concert in the Beethoven in Wales series where Mary Hofman (violin) and Richard Ormrod (piano) will play all 10 of Beethoven’s violin sonatas at several venues in the country.

This time, in Welshpool, it is Sonatas 4 (Op. 23), 9 (Op. 47 Kreutzer) and 10 (Op. 96) that will be performed from 7.30pm in the Methodist Church.

Entrance is free for members, otherwise tickets at the door are £10 (students £2) with tea and coffee provided after the concert when there is the opportunity to meet the performers.
