There’s no doubting Thomas

Postman Paul Thomas has decided that his recently found love of running should be put to a good cause, and is asking fellow Welshpool residents for support.

Paul, 47, only started his running fad two years ago but it has already led to him running one marathon and three half marathons in decent times, not to mention a bunch of 10k races.

He has only previously done it for fun but following the death of his well known father Ron (known as Clogger) of cancer, he has decided to put all his efforts to a worthy cause.

“I’ve decided to run the Edinburgh Marathon for Cancer Research because of my father,” said Paul, who ran the Turin Marathon last year in 3hrs 46 mins. “He was an inspiration because during the 15 months that he was ill with cancer he never once complained about it! Amazing, but true.”

Paul will be tackling the Edinburgh Marathon on May 22. You can sponsor him at www.runningsponsorme.org/jpt.
