Fantastic recreation of yesteryear’s Welshpool

A brilliant model recreation of Welshpool of yesteryear will take centre stage at a town memorabilia event taking place on March 21.

The incredible ‘Spirit of Welshpool’ is a model railway layout depicting the Welshpool & Llanfair Light Railway as it passed through the town decades ago complete with the various landmark buildings (pictured at Church Street). 

The exhibition, from 10am in the Town Hall’s Corn Exchange, is organised as part of the Memories of Welshpool project and refreshments will be available. Admission is by donation.

There will be a variety of Welshpool related items on display from old postcards, brewery jugs, photographs, and much more.
