Area’s first live gig ‘sold out’

Live performances returned to Montgomeryshire on Sunday with a double bill of poetry and music hailed as a success by organisers.

Hosted by Mid Wales Arts at its Caersws base, the event started with Pat Edwards, organiser of Welshpool Poetry Festival, inviting Chris Kinsey, Glyn Edwards and Kate Grrett to give rousing individual performances to a maximum capacity, well-spaced audience in the Sculpture Hall.

After a short break, the concert began with Abi Foster and Clovis Phillips from Mochdre Newtown joined the talented Jeb Loy Nichols for a sell-out performance.

The performances were also streamed live and can be watched anytime on Mid Wales Arts’ You Tube channel.
