Christmas competitions in town

Local youngsters are being invited to design the card that will be sent out by the Mayor this year.

But you don’t have long, with designs needing to reach the Town Council office by tomorrow so don’t hang around and get designing!

The winning card will also be available for purchase with any money raised going to the Mayor’s chosen charities of Ponthafren and Montgomeryshire Wildlife Trust. Entries can be sent to kimberly@welshpooltowncouncil.gov.uk. 

The Town Council is also organising a best decorated Christmas Tree competition.

If you would like to enter, take your decorated 3/4-foot tree to the indoor market by November 26 where it will be displayed inside Santa’s Grotto. The £5 entry will go towards the Mayor’s charities.

The winning entry will be announced on November 27 at the town’s Winter Festival.
