Edelle gives it The Full Monty!

One of the most iconic moments in British cinema has been recreated by a Welshpool 11-year-old and the star of the scene.

In the 1990’s classic, The Full Monty, Mark Addy was standing in the queue at his local job centre minding his own businesses along with several of his ‘dance troupe’ colleagues when their signature tune ‘Hot Stuff’ came on over the tannoy radio.

Without thinking, the group start to sway and move to the music, creating one of the most memorable moments in cinema of the last 30 years.

So when Edelle Maskell spotted Mr Addy at last week’s Wales Comic Con, held in Telford, it was too good an opportunity to miss!

“Edelle went up and asked him if he would do the dance with her because she loves the song and dance from the film,” said mum, Tamer Rickards.

“He said he’d love to, but couldn't remember how it went so he said we will stand like we are in the queue as in the film and I’ll follow you."

The moment was partly captured on video which you can see on our Facebook or Twitter page.

“He was so nice. Really great with his fans and we would love to meet him again."
