Free activity sessions for girls

Amazing activities for girls aged 4 to 14 are coming to Montgomery Activity Centre in March 2022 and, thanks to generous funding from Powys Council Council, they will be completely free!

The Activity sessions are being held for three age groups: 7-10 year olds on Saturday, March 12 (2pm-6pm); 10-14 year olds on Sunday, March 20, (10.30am-4.30pm), and 4-7 year olds on Saturday, March 26 (2pm-5pm).

Girls are welcome to join free of charge for a day/afternoon of fun, games, crafts and activities.

There will be games, plus six different small-group activities chosen from six themes including adventures, creativity, food, wellbeing and action, each suited to the age group of the girls taking part.

Activities are run by Montgomery Girlguiding and professional activity providers and are open to all girls in Powys. Girls do not need to be a member of Rainbows, Brownies or Guides to take part.

Project leader, Ruth Anton-Stephens, said: “We are very excited to be able to offer some of the fantastic activities that girls enjoy in our Guiding groups to all girls in Powys – and there is a free woven badge for everyone who takes part.

“Book your place early as placed are limited – bring along a friend or two – and come and have a great day (over 10s) or afternoon (under 10s) with us!”
