Getting Welshpool into shape

mywelshpool has teamed up with the new-look Armoury in a bid to improve the health of residents from the Welshpool area.
 
With obesity at record levels and illness connected to being overweight on the rise, we have decided it is vital to play our part in fighting a ticking health time bomb by welcoming the Armoury as our health and fitness partner.
 
There has never been a better opportunity for us all to get in shape. The Armoury has been refurbished into a state-of-the-art health centre and with more improvements on the way, including a ladies-only gymnasium, residents can benefit from a range of facilities normally reserved for a big city gym.
 
Despite the significant investment, prices to join the gym or to take part in the range of classes available are surprisingly low and you don’t even need to be a member to sign up and take part.
 
We will play our part every Sunday by letting you know what’s on for the week along with tips and latest news from the Armoury’s highly trained staff.
 
“We’ve worked hard at the Armoury over the past year to provide Welshpool with a top notch facility to be proud of,” said manager, Chris Greatorex who also does one-to-one training. “mywelshpool communicates to all age ranges across the Welshpool area so it is natural that we work together to try and improve the health of its residents.
 
“We have a full range of classes available throughout the week for everyone to enjoy and all I would say to people is to come down and have a look around and I am sure you will be pleasantly surprised.”
