Town Hall’s ‘Rumble’ sale

Professional Wrestling returns to Welshpool Town Hall on April 13, on a night billed as ‘Black Friday’ when several scores are due to be settled once and for all.

Promoted by Rainbow Records of Welshpool Market Hall, five top contests are scheduled, culminating in a ‘Royal Rumble’ and ‘King of the Ring’ contest, when all 12 wrestlers enter the ring together.

Popular Master of Ceremonies is ex-Radio Shropshire Presenter Mike Breeze who said this week: “Get ready to rumble again, where the ring is to be specially strengthened to take the combined weight of all the wrestlers. I urge all fans to buy their tickets as soon as possible as it is going to be another complete sell out.”

Top wrestlers booked to appear include James Mason the current British Heavy Weight Champion; 35-stone monster Big Dog; The Lightening Kid; The Welsh Dragon and the masked sensation King Kendo. A Ladies contest will also take place.

Tickets are £10 (£8 children) from Rainbow Records in Welshpool Market Hall, Welshpool Jewellers and Ego Games, Broad Street, Newtown.
