Andrews Fish Bar is reintroducing the prices it launched with to mark 30 years in the business, meaning we can all put our diets on hold on April 21 when chips will cost 14p, curry and chips will be 78p and a sausage will set you back just for 17p! Fish and chips will cost an inflation busting £1.45.

 

Staff will dress as their favourite 1980s characters from noon until 8pm, while the one and only ‘Del Boy’ from Only Fools & Horses is also making an appearance.

 

A raffle will be held in aid of Air Ambulance with a weekend at Alton Towers up for grabs.

 

“The day will be dedicated to the memory of my late father Dimitri, who passed away in 2004,” said current owner Costas Andreou (pictured). “My sons Dimitri and Nicholas and I owe a great debt to my father Dimitri and mother Valentine for everything they did in the early days to make the business work.

 

“I would like to thank all the staff, past and present, who have helped make this event happen,” said Andrews Fish Bar owner Costas Andreou. “There’s also a thanks to all our suppliers who have been with us since the start and those that came along as time progressed.

 

“I wish to say thank you to local businesses who have supported us throughout the 30 years and to all our customers from Welshpool and surrounding areas and also all over the country too.”
