Dynamic, spiritual, effective! Try Yogalates

To many Welshpool residents, the annual fitness regime doesn’t last beyond January 2. The thought of making that commitment to weeks of grunting and sweating down the gymnasium often kills off the New Year’s resolution before the hangover clears.
But help is at hand!
The Armoury has introduced a course that has become hugely popular and will take pride of place in the new fitness studio currently under construction as part of its extensive renovation programme.
Yogalates is described as an effective exercise system which incorporates the core firming dynamics of Pilates- increasing endurance - with the stretching and strengthening postures and spiritual aspects of Yoga for the complete mind and body workout.
The Armoury is currently running two sessions a week under Angela Lee and residents are encouraged to simply give it a go.
“It is innovative and designed to condition both the body and the mind,” said The Armoury General Manager, Chris Greatorex.
The class is suitable for all ages and open to all, both members and non members, and to book a place, call 554143.
Meanwhile, May 26 has been confirmed as the Armoury’s Open Day when its new look and facilities will be unveiled to all for a look around and a chance to try. New facilities will include a specialist ladies-only gymnasium and to celebrate, a fresh timetable and new offers will be launched over the coming weeks.
