Becoming an iTunes sensation

20/02/2013 @ 11:10

A local singer/songwriter is making a big name for himself in the music industry.

Paul Oliver, who performs under the name of his great-grandfather Pryce Oliver of Kilkewedd near Welshpool, collaborated with Radio One DJ Danny Howard on a new track called Feel It last year.

The track was signed to global label Pacha Records in November and they have now added the track to their Pacha 2013 album which was released in Germany and went into the iTunes Album Chart at Number 3. A UK version was released on Monday on iTunes called Pacha Future Dance 2013.

Now London-based Paul is creating his own unique sound in the dance community and has collaborated with some of the finest DJ's in the industry.

His first dance single Life is Good with David Loi was launched through HJM records in Italy and after collaborating with DJ Micast the song Pleasure was signed to Universal Records.

Last year he travelled to Barcelona to shoot a video for a track that he had written with Russian DJ Moonbeam called No Regrets.

Other DJ's that he has worked with include world-renowned local DJ and MyWelshpool columnist Sonny Wharton on the track You and Me as well as Hysteric Ego and Block and Crown.
