Student’s Geordie Shore coup

A Welshpool High School student has secured a celebrity A-lister for a Montgomeryshire party this weekend, as he tries his hand as a club promoter!

Connor Phillips, 16, has been running his Vibe nights for the last six months at Crystals in Newtown, and his fourth on Friday night will feature Gaz from TV’s Geordie Shore!

“The events are mainly focused at teenagers - 16 and above - but this event has attracted a lot more of a wider audience,” said Connor. "Gaz from Geordie Shore is loved by ladies and idolised by the men so there has been a lot of interest."

Friday’s event runs from 9:30pm-1:30am with tickets priced £10 for regular but £15 for Meet and Greet.

“The Meet and Greet have sold at a rapid rate and have nearly all sold out,” he said. “Tickets will be sold on the door as well and I am expecting it to be a busy night.

“I am very excited for the event. Lots of people are talking about it. I hope that everyone has a good night and I am looking forward to seeing Gaz myself.

“I would also like to thank Crystals for allowing me to run these events at their venue. All the staff are very supportive, friendly and always on hand to help with me on the night.”
