Quality, Environmental and Health & Safety Manager

Quality Pipe Supports (QPS) Ltd are manufacturers of Pipe Supports, Spring Hangers, and Steelwork Fabrications for the Oil and Gas, Petrochemical, Power Generation, Process and allied Industries. 

The company operates systems in accordance with BS EN ISO 9001, 14001, 18001, BS EN 1090 and holds quality accreditations and approvals with all the major engineering contractors.


Determining, agreeing, and generating in-house Quality procedures, standards and specifications.

Assessing client requirements and ensuring that these are met.

Setting client service standards and ensuring all procedures are up to date to ensure successful in-house and external audits.

Specifying Quality requirements of raw materials with suppliers.

Investigating and setting standards for Quality and Health / Safety.

Ensuring that manufacturing processes comply with standards at both National and International level.

Liaising with company personnel to establish procedures, standards and systems.

Generating manufacturing and technical reports.

Monitor and determining training needs.

Acting as a catalyst for change and improvements in Quality, be responsible for monthly Quality in-house meetings. 

Generating quality documents/packages for clients and manufacturing record books in accordance with contract requirements.

Participating in meetings with clients regarding Quality matters.

Maintain our QMS including ISO accreditations mentioned in the above paragraphs.

Occasional supplier audits & site meetings may be required.

The Candidate:
The ideal candidate will be experienced in the following:

All relevant risk assessments and safe working procedures are reviewed and to current methods.

At least two years manufacturing experience in a similar role 

Excellent people management and leadership

Recognised PC skills (Microsoft Office Word, Excel & PowerPoint)

This position will ideally suit a candidate who has been involved within a Quality position and has experience with ISO’s. In return for the above we offer 25 days (plus bank holidays) annual leave, company pension scheme, competitive salary.

Working house 08:00-16:30 mon-thurs, 08:00-16:00 on a Friday. You may be required from time-time to work outside of these hours should you be required in meetings, travel etc.
