Search still on for jeweller raiders

 

Police are still on the trail of armed raiders who failed in their bid to rob a Welshpool jewellers last month.

 

The three masked raiders fled empty handed after being confronted by the County Goldsmiths' owner who was sprayed in the face and struck with a baseball bat during the terrifying struggle.

 

A police spokesperson said: “We have no further information to share at this time but we urge anyone with information to come forward by contacting Welshpool Police Station on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”

 

A £5,000 reward is on offer for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the raiders.
