Fitness instructors from the Flash Leisure Centre, operated by Freedom Leisure on behalf of Powys County Council, are getting ready to put the staff of Tesco’s store in Welshpool through their fitness paces this weekend.
Freedom Leisure is helping the Tesco Team co-ordinate a two-day fitness frenzy on Friday May 13 and Saturday May 14 to raise money for the British Heart Foundation and Diabetes UK charities.
Tesco staff will take part in a series of 30-minute fitness challenges including Spinning bike sessions, MetaFit, Pilates and Kettlercise classes delivered by the Freedom Leisure instructors. In addition they will be given fitness tests to help them understand and appreciate their own health.
“We expect it will be a lot of fun this weekend but don’t be fooled: we are going to make the Tesco staff work hard in their sessions so they’ll be earning every penny of sponsorship,” says Tim Humphreys, Freedom Leisure fitness instructor.
“They will be digging deep so I hope Tesco shoppers and the local community will also dig deep and donate to these excellent causes.”
