Dr Rhian Davies’ 10th Gregynog Festival, which runs from June 16-26, has created a real buzz at the box office with tickets selling so fast that some performances are already sold out.

Plenty of second week treats await  though – so it’s best to book now to avoid disappointment.  Highlights include:

Finghin Collins – one of Ireland’s finest talents surveys beautiful Irish piano music including favourites Bax and Grainger

Ailish Tynan and Iain Burnside – the dream team performs Irish songs.

Fidelio Trio – the outstanding Fidelio Trio, shortlisted as best chamber ensemble at the 2016 RPS (Royal Philharmonic Society Awards), performs this year’s Festival commission by Sam Perkin inspired by Fron-goch.

Chamber Choir Ireland – superstar Paul Hillier directs a showcase of contemporary Irish repertoire with this award-winning choir including Shakespeare settings to mark the 400th anniversary
