Paint the Rainbow, are running two summer holiday art workshops in Welshpool.
On August 2nd you can be inspired by soup cans, coca-cola bottles and celebrities! Those taking part will look at the amazing work of Andy Warhol, try out some printmaking, collaging and repetition and create some Warhol-esque pieces of Pop Art.
On August 9 it is all about Damien Hirst, one of Britain’s greatest living artists. Those attending will talk about his controversial work, including animals in formaldehyde and his colourful butterfly and spot paintings. There will be a chance to make individual spin paintings which will get messy, and create a miniature shark in 'formaldehyde' piece of Modern Art.
Both workshops are suitable for ages 7–11 and only £7.50 per child. They will run from 9.30–11.30am at the Welshpool Methodist Church, 13 High Street, Welshpool SY21 7JP.
Those taking part are advised to wear old clothes, it WILL get messy!
