Vulnerable adults from the Welshpool area who would like to travel in the UK or abroad can still do so thanks to a local care provider.

Abacare, which provides care across Wales, can provide extra assistance to travellers while on a trip.

Peter Angelides, CEO at Abacare, said: “Going travelling is on many people’s bucket lists and we don’t want anyone to miss out on the opportunity of a lifetime so providing care workers for vulnerable adults while they are travelling across the country or abroad is just one of the many services we offer.

“This is a great opportunity for anyone planning to travel but who is worried about any aspect of care they might need. We can put together a specific care plan for those looking for support and our carers can fit in with their planned journeys.”

Abacare operates a professional Care Management Team that is committed to providing high quality care to individuals in their own homes.

The large team of trained, specialist, care workers provide positive based outcomes and person centred care to people throughout the UK.

It is currently recruiting across Wales and is offering full and part time positions as well as full training.

Peter added: “Our care roles are extremely important ones that benefit the elderly and vulnerable. Carers provide support and assistance to our service users with personal care, washing, dressing, medication administration and domestic work.

“We can offer full and part time contracts as well as mileage and travel time. We also offer full training with our in-house trainer, which includes a company induction, first aid, information on dementia, health and safety, food safety, infection control, handling medication and moving and handling service users.

“We also offer the Qualification and Credit Framework (QCF), formerly known as National Vocational Qualifications, to all our team members who show commitment, reliability and true passion. We provide a great support network for all of our carers.

“Anyone interested in joining our award-winning team should also give us a call at our Mid Wales office on 01686 625 644.”
