Montgomeryshire MP Glyn Davies has congratulated local dancing group Welshpool Dancers on their fundraising efforts in aid of the Montgomeryshire Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association.
The group have raised £500 through fundraising and recently joined Glyn Davies MP at his Constituency Office to present the money.
The MP is the President of the Montgomeryshire Motor Neurone Disease Association, and accepted the money on the Branch’s behalf.
Congratulating the Welshpool Dancer’s for their fundraising efforts, Mr Davies said: “Welshpool Dancers have been fantastic supporters of local charities for many years, and their generosity is to be celebrated.
"I have been President of the Montgomeryshire MND Branch for many years, and have seen first-hand how the support and services offered by the Association can make a difference to people who are affected by the condition.
“Like any local charity, the branch is dependent on local support, and the Welshpool Dancer’s fundraising efforts are greatly appreciated.”
Welshpool Dancers group organiser Barrie Bennett said; “We enjoy dancing and have always ensured that we combine our enjoyment with supporting important local causes. The generosity of local people is amazing, and we greatly appreciate everyone’s support.”
