Dyfed-Powys Police is investigating the theft of a blue car-trailer from the first field on the left as you leave the village of Meifod towards Llanfair Caereinion, which normally stores banger cars.
The offence occurred sometime between 09.00 and 14.30hrs on Wednesday, January 19. In addition, other items of scrap/batteries were also taken.
Police are looking to eliminate a white Ford Transit seen in the area on the day apparently asking for scrap/batteries.
Additionally, at approximately 13.30, a grey Ford Transit with the word Scania written in blue down the side, believed to be asking for scrap/batteries, was seen in the Maengwynedd area between Llanrhaeadr Y M and Llanarmon D.C.
It is believed a number of metal drain covers were stolen at around this time, which could have serious consequences to vehicles passing over unprotected drains.
