Welshpool Town Council is to continue monitoring anti-social behaviour in the town throughout the summer and is calling on residents to report cases.
The council ran an 18-day exercise which produced 19 reports of anti-social behaviour on the town’s streets in a bid to support Dyfed Powys Police and give a clearer picture of the issue. The council is calling for a People & Places Order to restrict places where people can drink in public.
The programme involves the council manning a hotline number, monitoring a website and checking an incident book where anti-social behaviour was reported.
A statement from the council said: “If you see any anti-social behaviour please report it to the Police on 101 or if very serious 999. However, the Council asks you to report any incidents to them via the following methods:
