36-hour closure of Shrewsbury Road

There’s mixed news for motorists this weekend, particularly if you are heading to Shrewsbury.
Cefn Bridge will be closed from 6pm tomorrow night (Saturday) and is expected to re-open in-time for commuters for Monday morning.
Powys County Council has confirmed that it is for urgent and necessary maintenance work.
Meanwhile, the road from Welshpool to Mallwyd is re-opened today as scheduled. It had been closed during daylight hours for roadwork since January 10.
