Welshpool Town may be without a manager but they got their Spar Mid Wales League season off the ground at Montgomery last night.
Less than 24 hours after the announcement that manager Terry Ingram had left the cub Pool were back in action with chairman and former team boss Russell Cadwallader at the helm.
Without a point or a goal to their name after three games you could have got good odds on a predicted win but Welshpool returned home with a 2-0 win and now prepare for a Show Night clash at Berriew on Saturday.
Berriew were looking to complete a double over Knighton but were held 1-1.
There are more games in the league tonight with Llansantffraid at home to Four Crosses in a local derby.
