No panic at Welshpool

28/10/2016 @ 10:46

“There’s no panic at Welshpool Town” – that’s the message from new joint team manager Chris Roberts ahead of tonight’s league game at home to Machynlleth.

Roberts and Neil Pryce took charge last week following the sacking of manager Luke Ogilvie and he was impressed by the team’s performance, despite going down 2-1 at home to Llanidloes.

“It was a much-improved performance against Llanidloes,” he said. “And there was a crowd of around 120 there which shows that we can get the town behind us.

“It’s a massive game for us tonight and one that we really need to win but there’s a long season ahead of us and there is certainly no need to panic.”

Roberts and Pryce are eyeing up a couple of new signings but will continue to give chances to local youngsters in the bid for survival.

Llanfair face a daunting trip to Caernarfon in the Huws Gray Alliance whie Guilsfield are at home to Holywell.
