Investors in People awards for Flash operators

Freedom Leisure, which operates 15 leisure centres on behalf of Powys County Council, including The Flash, has  been awarded the Investors in People accreditation.

This award which recognises high standards in people management goes to organisations that show exceptional commitment to staff and business development. 

In order to achieve this enviable accolade, Freedom Leisure had to demonstrate its implementation, management and practice of processes and procedures and fully support its staff training needs and career development.

Over the past 18 months, Freedom Leisure has expanded its business taking on a number of new local authority partners, it was commended by Investors in People for having a ‘strong senior management team’ and ‘well embedded processes which have enabled the business to successfully grow’.

Freedom Leisure was also recognised as ‘a highly aspirational company with a great deal of passion for making leisure accessible and available to the community’.

“At the heart of Freedom Leisure’s offering is ensuring it delivers bespoke, fit-for-purpose services and facilities to encourage its local communities to lead healthier and more active lifestyles.,” said a company spokesman.

Freedom Leisure was recognised by assessors as having ‘a real focus on clients, who are very much part of the partnership; taking the time and pride in understanding and delivering on their needs’.
