See Powis Castle sparkle

Powis Castle will be spectacularly lit up next week, offering residents a unique opportunity to experience its unfamiliar sights and sounds after dark.

The illuminated garden event will run from December 2-4 and 9-11 from 5pm-8.30pm with last entry at 7.30pm.

Visitors can also enter the state rooms which provide an ornate backdrop for the castle’s Christmas with a twist. In a break from tradition to fire visitors’ imagination, there will be a range of different Christmas trees, but not as they’ve been seen before!

After a festive stroll around the garden, visitors can warm up with a glass of mulled wine and a mince pie. The Courtyard Restaurant will be open until from 10am to 8pm.

The Courtyard Shop is selling decorations, Christmas cards, gifts, festive foods and gift hampers made to order and is also open until 8pm.

Admission to the garden is £5.20 for adults, £2.60 for children and is free for National Trust members. The castle and garden costs £6.70 for adults, £3.35 for children and is free to NT members.
