Meanwhile, Welshpool's Youths made the long journey to South Wales to take on Pontypool United in the Welsh Youth Bowl, and were only undone in the second half as the United replacements made their presence felt to take a 34-11 win.
Playing on the famous Pontypool Park, Welshpool only trailed 14-11 at the interval, but faded away in the second half due to a shortage of replacements. The players all gave it their all, and represented the club well. This weekend, they take on local rivals COBRA in a 2pm kick-off in Meifod.
