Labour candidate Nicola Morris won a seat on Welshpool Town Council in yesterday’s by-election caused by the death of Councillor Ann Holloway.
Standing for the vacant seat on the Castle Ward she polled 100 votes with Julie Ellis (Independent) second with 56 votes, Folkert Ferdinand Veentra (Liberal Democrat) third with 30 vote and Carol Robinson (Independent) fourth with 13 votes.
There was a turnout of just 18%.
