Budding photographers from the area are being invited to take part in a photography workshop.

A four-hour workshop is being arranged for those looking to take their photography to another level.

It is being organised by Peter Coleby and will take place in Welshpool on March 11.

“The four-hour workshop is structured to help people get to grips with the basics of digital photography and learn how to use their digital SLR camera in manual mode,” said Peter.

“The first part of the workshop will be in group discussion and activities with visual examples on how you can take control of your camera and the basic techniques on how to use it properly, including exploring “light” and exposure  using  ISO, shutter speed and aperture settings.

“Participants will also learn the methods of composing your pictures helping you to create a more dynamic photograph.”

The work shop will take place from 9.30am-1.30pm at the 1st Clives Own Scout Headquarters and Community Centre in Oldford Lane and will move into the Powis Castle Park.

The fee is £25 and details can be obtained by emailing peter.coleby@gmail.com, telephone 07891 600755 or at www.petercolebyphotography.co.uk
