Guilsfield A have clinched their second trophy of the season after an exciting night of shooting to take the Montgomeryshire & District Airgun League's Charity Cup.

The final four sides assembled at the The Cock Inn, Forden for a format of five shooters from each team going head-to-head.

The next two matches were shared leading to Guilsfield's Matt Knight (34.4) edging Helen Lewis (34.1) to take the match 3-2.

In the final, Paul Phillips took an early lead for Guilsfield with 34.3 only for young Jack Francis to level the match 1-1 with his own 34.1. But Guilsfield were not to be denied taking the next two ties with young Aaron Knight edging out an off-colour Martin Pearce 33.3 to 33. Not to be out done by his son, Roger Knight stepped up to shoot down Richard Lewis by the smallest of margins 34.4 to 34.3 to seal a great win and secure their second trophy of the season.
