Welshpool is recovering this morning after the biggest night of flooding for years
The town was in danger of being cut off after flooding closed roads all around the outskirts of the town.
The road between Llanymynech and Four Crosses was closed at 1.33am after the river spilled over and it has remained shut this morning.
It follows the closing of the Llanfair Road which closed at tea time on Saturday night because of flooding.
Powys County Council has not given any indication yet as to when both roads could re-open to traffic so motorists are advised to seek alternative routes.
