It’s Day Three of our 30 fitness tips for April and our partners Great Fitness say getting into shape is all about quality and not quantity and that size (of weight) doesn't always matter!

Always remember that your form and technique in the gym is a lot more important than how much you can lift.

“We see it in gyms and all over social media all too often where people want to lift heavy weights before they have mastered the technique, possibly leading to injuries,” said Charlie Proctor, from Great Fitness.

His advice is as follows: 15 controlled reps at a lower weight will get you results faster than say 10 at a weight you struggle to maintain your form with.
