This Saturday, the Humberston Singers from Cleethorpes in Lincolnshire will be singing and raising money for the MS Society in Montgomeryshire at Berriew Church.
They will be joined by local choral group Cor Trefaldwyn and accompanied by Aeron Preston. Also in the programme will be local poet Pat Edwards.
The concert starts at 7.30pm, and promises to be a wonderful evening of choral music and the spoken word.
The Humberston Singers are conducted by Richard Bradley, who, four years ago brought his Grimsby Orpheus Male Voice Choir to Berriew. This time the ladies are joining the men in the mixed voice Humberston Singers.
Cor Trefaldwyn are based in Montgomery and enjoy performing many different styles of music and helping to raise funds for local charities, as well as performing in Montgomery Church.
Pat Edwards is a published poet who is involved in both the local poetry scene and that of further afield. She is one of the organisers of the Welshpool Poetry Festival and Verbatim, who meet regularly in the area.
Tickets are £5, and available on the door.
