Organisers of the Bob Jones Memorial Air Show are reminding visitors that all remotely piloted vehicles, drones and radio controlled aircraft are completely forbidden from the site.

The show is expected to attract thousands of visitors to Welshpool Airport on June 11, and to ensure that it all goes without a glitch the reminder has been issued through the official web site.

“Please note that under CAA Regulations Remotely Piloted Vehicles, Drones and Radio Controlled Aircraft cannot be operated in the vicinity of Airfields and Airports,” they said.

“This is for obvious safety reasons and we would urge you not to bring your Aircraft, Drone, or Remotely Piloted Vehicle to the Air Show; this includes devices or machines that you might ordinarily consider to be toys.”
