A right Royal knees-up!

Welshpool will be hosting one of its biggest ever parties to mark the Royal Wedding of Prince William to Kate Middleton in April.

 

Organisers will be hoping for nice spring weather for the bash to be held in the gardens of Powis Castle (right) on Friday, April 29, which has been declared a public holiday. Families will be encouraged to bring picnics and enjoy a festival atmosphere as the country will be at its patriotic best.

 

The wedding will be shown on a big screen with an open invite to all residents in the area to attend. Stalls and entertainment will also be provided and anyone interested in booking a stall space should contact the Town Clerk’s office on Email wtcouncil@btinternet.com.

 

“It will be a national celebration so we are looking forward to bringing the people of Welshpool together for a day to remember,” said Town Clerk Robert Robinson.
