Welshpool Town Council have delivered a harsh message to the person responsible for pasting up political posters around the town last weekend.
The A4 posters have appeared throughout the town centre but a solvent was used that could take council staff hours to remove.
“They are posted on the phone box, litter bins, bus stops etc, and it makes the town look so untidy, particularly as the Council does not expect the persons responsible will take them down after the election,” said Town Clerk, Robert Robinson.
“The CCTV will be checked and if we can identify the persons responsible, their details will be passed to the authorities for fly posting which is an offence.”
