New computers for town visitors

The Town Council has agreed to replace the aging computers at the Tourist Information Centre (TIC) with brand new ones.

The TIC has proved to be a popular acquisition since Welshpool Town Council took the service over from Powys County Council several years ago, and the latest purchase will help visitors access information online.

“The previous units are now over 10 years old and are not able to support the latest technology so a recommendation was made to replace them for the sum of £700. This will come from the TIC Equipment budget,” said a Town Council spokesperson.
