CaePost’s windswept winter plea!

18/02/2011 @ 02:59

The recent gale force winds that ravaged Montgomeryshire have resulted in an appeal from CaePost for householders to take more care with their rubbish put out for collection.

Overnight gales swept through villages like Guilsfield recently, catching out residents who had left out their bins for a Friday morning collection.

It created early morning hilarity for some – with residents seen running after their bins – while anguish for others that were left with a massive clear-up after tonnes of rubbish blew out of control.

And the advice is clear from CaePost who have issued some easy advice to follow.

-          Place all shredded paper into a bag rather than be left lose in the black box
-          Place plastic bags into one bag inside the red box
-          Insert a heavier item into the bag to ensure it does not fly away
